Minimum Day♥

Today Wednesday 26, 2008 all the students that attend Robert Frost Middle will have a minimum day. This means that they will be dissmissed at 12:32. They will only spend 30min. in each class. They will go to 1st period,2nd, 3rd, then its brunch, after its 4th, 5th, then 6th. Hopefully everyone has a great Thanksgiving and gets to spend more time with there family.

Turkey Bowl Canceled!

Here at Robert Frost Midlle School we were having our Turkey Bowl. Today Wednesday 26 but due to the weather it was canceled. Sadley most of the Football players and students were sad about it. The Turkey Bowl might be rescheduled until December. Everyone was really looking forward to all the barbeque, hamburgers, and a lot of other good food. But especially all the 8th grade students were looking forward to watching the game. Hopefully we can have fun soon.(:

Saints V.S. Packers

The saints and the Packers played on Monday night football. This is a very special day it is when legnds play. The Packers lost against the Saints on Monday. The score was 52 to 23. It was a very interesting and exciting game. Good luck to the Packers next time.(:

Do you know what thanksgiving is? People might just think oh it's just a day when you eat with your family. Others just think about eating food all day. But really Thanksgiving is all about being thankful for what you have. So this Thanksgiving remeber to be thankful. Oh and don't forget it's already this Thursday that's coming. At Frost Middle School we are having dress for succes day. This means that kids could wear anything they would wear if they were going to a job interview. But there are conditions of course you could only wear dresses, skirts, suits, and nice shirts. Guys could also wear suits, and other nice stuff. But you can't wear opened shoes and jeans. Dress for success will be Monday Nov.24. So dress up and look nice.(:

Frost Middle School supports The Great American Smokeout. This day is when people from all ages are encouraged to not smoke for a day. Peolpe and kids should be smoke free for life. If you start smoking your life will be in risk. So stay drug free and live your life. Your life will surley last longer.(:

Sylmar Fire

Fire!!!!

The fire has affected many homes and people. How did it start? Who knows how it started but the policemen are suspecting that someone started the fire. For example the last fire occured on Oct.14 this fire now occured last friday night whiches Nov.14. What a coinsidence don't you think. But the fire has burned many houses already like the mobile homes in Glenoaks. Many more than you think many people have been evacuated. Some have been able to go back home and others have been evacuated to highschools. Like Sylmar Highschool, San Fernando Highschool,Kennedey Highschool, and Chatsworth Highschool. Let's just hope there are no more fires.

Are you going to the Turkey Bowl? It is going to be on November 26, during 4th period-6th period. That day we have an early dissmissal at 12:32. Have you heard about Homeless City? Well it's about a place where homeless people live in tents. They live there because they lost there home and because right now they can't afford buying a house. All this mostly happened because of the economy crisist. I hope for all those people to find a home soon(:

Yes as you can see tomorrow is Veterans Day! A lot of kids really don't even know what it's all about. The only thing that most kids know is that they don't have school on that day. But really it's not all about that. Veteran's Day is all about the veterans that have risked there life for us. So instead of just thinking that there is no school tomorrow, remember and thank our veterans. Have a good Veterans day everyone(:

I think that having kids play this virtual game is wrong. I mean they might want to encourage kids to join the army when they grow up. Kids might think oh yeah im good in the game I bet im even better in person. But you never know. I also think that the army is just doing this to get more people to join them. I just don't think all of this is right.

Have you heard about the military donations? If you haven't it's a good opportunity to help the people that have saved your life. I mean they have risked there lives for you. So why not help? It would be a good cause. You can donate red vines, fruit roll-ups, granola bars, and some other stuff that can't expire fast. Also you can donate money for the shipping. Who Won The Election?

Who won the election? Luckily Obama Won by a landslide(: Woohoo! There were 538 total electoral votes. Each candidate needed at least 270 electoral votes in order to win. President Obama got 349 electoral votes. Candidate John Mc cain won 173 electoral votes. So Obama won 176 more e.v. than Mc cain. It was a very interesting race. Congratulations to Obama because he won the election and made history. He is the first African American to run America!

Have you heard the story about a Kick For Nick. It was about a young man who was a Marine, who saw the kids in Iraq and he felt bad because the kids would play by kicking cans. He thought to himself what if I gave a soccer ball to every kid in Iraq. When he was planning to take the balls Nick died. When his neighbor heard about Nicks plan he helped Nicks dad send the soccer balls. Every soccer ball said "A kick For Nick". Luckily they were able to send the soccer balls to Iraq and complete Nicks dream.(:

Do you know what prop 8 is about? If you don't know what that is it mean wether you approve or your against gay marriage. Yes means that your against gay marriage. No on prop 8 means you think gay marriage is okay. Well I personally vote no because, I think that it's not fair for gay people to be treated differently just because they like someone from the same gender. I think that it is discrimination and that people should just let them do what they feel.(:
